Before renovation:
1. Utility consumption (water, electricity, and gas): approximately RMB 515,000 per year
2. The filter media is subject to secondary pollution (due to bag handling), and prolonged operation cannot guarantee compliance with the clean-gas dust concentration requirement of >10 mg/Nm³.
3. Risk of dust-laden air leakage: With numerous pieces of equipment and a high density of valves and instrumentation points, positive-pressure filter furnace gas leaks can lead to poisoning.
4. Difficulties in regulating the Roots blower
5. The furnace gas has high moisture content, as well as elevated levels of carbon monoxide (≤60%) and carbon dioxide (<28%), while the oxygen content is also high (≤2%), making it difficult to utilize the furnace gas effectively.
After renovation:
1. Public utility consumption (water, electricity, and gas): RMB 307,000 per year
2. The filter media is made of metal, is recyclable, and causes no pollution; even after prolonged operation, the dust concentration in the cleaned gas remains ≤5 mg/Nm³.
3. Nitrogen sealing and indirect ash discharge prevent air from leaking in: fewer pieces of equipment, lower leakage risk, and higher safety.
4. Employ dry dust removal, equipped with a variable-frequency-controlled centrifugal fan (operating at the normal frequency of 28 Hz) and a regulating valve (maintaining a normal opening of 100%), to keep the furnace pressure at a slight positive pressure (4–9 Pa).
5. Dry dust removal is employed, resulting in low moisture, carbon monoxide (50–65%), carbon dioxide (<24%), and oxygen content (0.2%) before and after purification, thereby providing clean feed gas for downstream methanol production.
